Application Process and Guidelines for TEDxNicosia
1. When will the application process open? Monday, October 31, 00:00 CY time
2. When will the application process close? Friday, November 11, 23:59 CY time
3. How will applications be made? Applicants will be prompted through Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to access TEDxNicosia website and complete form embedded in Website.
4. Notification of received application to applicant? The applicant will receive a confirmation. Please allow at least 24 hours for receipt.
5. Availability? In total, 150 spots are available for TEDxNicosia. Of these 150 spots, 75 spots will be available to those completing applications through the TEDxNicosia website (50%) 45 spots will be reserved for invitations (30%) and 30 spots will be reserved for sponsors (20%).
6. Criteria for selection? Applications must be received after the official opening of the application and before 23:59 on the day of closing. Applications must be thoroughly and fully completed and within the confines of the instructed word count. Applications will be reviewed for the following criteria: Innovative, Enthusiastic and Ideas Worth Spreading – Tell us why we should pick you! Applications that are waitlisted will be informed once openings become available. The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse applications if the above criteria are not met.
7. Approved applications? Approved applicants will receive notification of acceptance beginning on November 13, 2011. You will be notified immediately regarding payment instructions and will have 5 business days to complete payment and reserve your position.
8. Registration: On the day of the event, all attendees must have their printed pass and ID.
